Installing the Hebrew Keyboard on MacOS

Download the
Hebrew Keyboard.
- Double-click the downloaded file [ BiblicalHebrewKeyboardsMacInstaller.zip ] to unzip it.
- Double-click the resulting unzipped file [ Biblical Hebrew Keyboards Installer.pkg ].
- Click the [ Done ] button in the pop-up warning window.
- Open [ System Settings ] in your Mac.
- Click [ Privacy & Security ] in your System Settings window.

Scroll to the bottom of the window, and then Click [ Open Anyway ] where it says that the
Biblical Hebrew Installer was blocked.
- Click [ Open Anyway ] in the pop-up warning window.
- Type the password for an administrative user in the pop-up warning window.
- Click the [ Continue ] button two times in the installer window.

Click [ Install for me only ] and then the [ Continue ] button in the installer window.
- Click the [ Install ] button in the installer window.
- After installation finishes, click the [ Move to Trash ] button in the pop-up window.
- Reboot your computer.

Click [ System Settings ] ↠ [ Keyboard ] ↠ [ Input Sources: Edit... ]
- Ensure that [ Show Input menu in menu bar ] is turned ON in the window that pops up.
- Click the [ + ] symbol in the lower-left corner of that same window.
- Click [ Hebrew ] in the left panel of the window that opens.
- Click [ Biblical Hebrew – SIL ] in the right panel of that same window.
- Click [ Add ] in the lower-right corner of that same window.
- Click [ Done ] in the lower-right corner of the window that becomes visible.

Delete the files [ BiblicalHebrewKeyboardsMacInstaller.zip ] and [
Biblical Hebrew Keyboards Installer.pkg ] from steps 2 and 3 if you haven't already done so.
Using the Hebrew Keyboard

To select your keyboard, use the [ Input ] menu in the menu bar. (It looks like
when set to English.)

Tip: To see how to type various characters, click on the input menu in the menu bar and then
select [ Show Keyboard Viewer ]. A keyboard picture will pop up that changes when you hold down
Shift or Option or both.

worksheets documents have the keyboard map.
