Installing the Hebrew Keyboard on MacOS

  1. Download the Hebrew Keyboard.
  2. Double-click the downloaded file [ BiblicalHebrewKeyboardsMacInstaller.zip ] to unzip it.
  3. Double-click the resulting unzipped file [ Biblical Hebrew Keyboards Installer.pkg ].
  4. Click the [ Done ] button in the pop-up warning window.
  5. Open [ System Settings ] in your Mac.
  6. Click [ Privacy & Security ] in your System Settings window.
  7. Scroll to the bottom of the window, and then Click [ Open Anyway ] where it says that the Biblical Hebrew Installer was blocked.
  8. Click [ Open Anyway ] in the pop-up warning window.
  9. Type the password for an administrative user in the pop-up warning window.
  10. Click the [ Continue ] button two times in the installer window.
  11. Click [ Install for me only ] and then the [ Continue ] button in the installer window.
  12. Click the [ Install ] button in the installer window.
  13. After installation finishes, click the [ Move to Trash ] button in the pop-up window.
  14. Reboot your computer.
  15. Click [ System Settings ] ↠ [ Keyboard ] ↠ [ Input Sources: Edit... ]
  16. Ensure that [ Show Input menu in menu bar ] is turned ON in the window that pops up.
  17. Click the [ + ] symbol in the lower-left corner of that same window.
  18. Click [ Hebrew ] in the left panel of the window that opens.
  19. Click [ Biblical Hebrew – SIL ] in the right panel of that same window.
  20. Click [ Add ] in the lower-right corner of that same window.
  21. Click [ Done ] in the lower-right corner of the window that becomes visible.
  22. Delete the files [ BiblicalHebrewKeyboardsMacInstaller.zip ] and [ Biblical Hebrew Keyboards Installer.pkg ] from steps 2 and 3 if you haven't already done so.
